Abstract

This research aims to explore the current state of information management education in Africa, focusing on the challenges and opportunities present in the region. The primary objective is to identify effective strategies that can enhance knowledge sharing among information professionals and educational institutions. Various methods were employed, including a comprehensive literature review, surveys, and interviews with key stakeholders such as educators, students, and information management practitioners.

The findings reveal that there is a significant gap in the availability and quality of information management education across African countries. Many institutions face challenges such as inadequate infrastructure, limited access to digital resources, and a shortage of qualified educators. Despite these obstacles, the research identifies several promising strategies to enhance knowledge sharing.
